2021 WFLPS ALICE IN WONDERLAND of Bilingual Section

White Queen: Alice, you cannot live your life to please others. The choice must be yours, because when you step out to face that creature, you will step out alone.

“愛麗絲，你活著不是為了取悅別人；選擇，掌握在自己手中，因為當你走出來面對那些怪獸，你就得戰斗。”

畢業班一百多名學生齊上陣，雙語部五年級畢業大戲《愛麗絲夢游仙境》Alice in Wonderland公益演出今天圓滿落幕。There are more than 100 Yr5 Bilingual Section students who participated in the show.”ALICE IN WONDERLAND” and it was a big success.

《愛麗絲夢游仙境》的故事講述了小姑娘愛麗絲追趕一只揣著懷表、會說話的白兔，由此墜入了神奇的地下世界。愛麗絲幫助兔子尋找丟失的扇子和手套，幫三個園丁躲避紅桃王后的迫害，在荒誕的法庭上大聲抗議國王和王后對好人的誣陷……在這個奇幻瘋狂的世界里，似乎只有愛麗絲是唯一清醒的人——不斷探險，同時又不斷追問“我是誰”，在探險的同時不斷認識自我，不斷成長，終于成長為一個“大”姑娘時猛然驚醒，才發現原來這一切都是自己的一個夢境。

“ALICE IN WONDERLAND’ is about the little girl—Alice, who chases a White Rabbit who has a watch in his chest and can talk to Alice. They explore the magic underground world. Alice helps the White Rabbit to find the lost fan and gloves. She helps the three gardeners to escape from the red heart Queen. On the court, she fights against the king and the queen...In the fancy and crazy world, Alice is the only one who has a clear mind... She keeps exploring, and keep asking “Who am I”? Meanwhile, she learns more about herself and keeps growing. Eventually, she realizes that it is just a dream.

之所以選擇這個家喻戶曉的英國童話故事，就是希望孩子們都能像勇敢又天真的愛麗絲一樣，與世間所有意想不到的人、事、物產生奇妙的互動，在成長的道路上不斷探索，從而盡情體驗世界上所有的奇跡。

The reason why we choose the popular English Fair Tale is that we hope the children could be brave and naive just like Alice. The interaction between the people and the things around us is unpredictable. While we are on the  growth path, we should keep exploring, and witness the miracles in the world.

愛麗絲、瘋帽字、睡鼠、兔子、國王、皇后、水母、大樹……每一個角色都在舞臺上發光。為了這場表演，畢業班全體師生籌備近兩個月反復排練。通過戲劇表演這種非常有效的英語學習方式，學生們不僅了解了相關的文化背景知識，更是通過分析劇本中角色學會了思考。

Alice, the Hatter, the Dormouse, the March Hare, the King of Hearts, the Queen of Hearts, the Jellyfish, the Big Tree are all characters and each role is as important as each other. The Yr5 teachers and students have prepared an rehearsed for the show for almost two months. Through the drama performance, the students not only  learn about culture but also learn how to be a thinker by understanding the roles.

今天，體育館被布置成了郁郁蔥蔥、繁花似錦的森林仙境，主人公愛麗絲剪影投射在四壁上。舞臺上，每一句臺詞都原汁原味，每一個角色都妙趣橫生，每一個孩子都展現出了非凡的表現力、滿滿的自信和創造力。畢業班的家長們一起加入并觀看了這場奇妙的夢幻之旅。演出結束后，笑聲、掌聲……愛的氛圍久久縈繞現場。手捧著愛心捐獻箱的孩子穿梭在觀眾席籌集公益資金，一元、十元……這些匯集的善款將為上海兒童醫院需要救治的兒童們獻上一份愛心。

Today, the gym is decorated as green woods. It looks like a wonderland full of flowers. The shadow of Alice is reflected on the wall. At the stage, the description is original. Each role is vivid. Every child played a part in the performance on the stage. They are confident and creative. The Year 5 parents joined in and watched the show. At the end of the show, everyone was very impressed clapped and applauded the efforts of the students.   The students asked for donations from one to ten yuan. The proceeds are to be donated to the children of Shanghai Children’s Hospital.  The students take action to show they care!
