We are thrilled to share the wonderful experiences and learning that our Grade 1 students have embraced during the first unit, "Welcome to School." The central idea of this unit was, "Schools have procedures to help children learn and play." Let's delve into the engaging activities and key lessons that our students have been a part of.

Exploring the School Environment:

Our Grade 1 journey began with a delightful school tour. This immersive experience allowed our young learners to become familiar with their school, its various spaces, and the important procedures that make it a welcoming place to learn and play. The students were like eager explorers, discovering their new academic home.

Getting to Know School Supplies:

One of the first steps in preparing for school is knowing what to bring in their backpacks. To accomplish this, our students embarked on a creative project: "Video Introductions of What's in My Backpack." Through these videos, they not only showcased their language skills but also demonstrated their understanding of school supplies.

唱中學:

音樂使學習變得有趣和難忘。小朋友們學習了一首朗朗上口的歌曲《學校里有什么》。這首歌的特別之處在于它的多功能性——小朋友們可以從學校環境中加入不同的東西，使它成為一個充滿活力和互動的學習體驗。

Singing Our Way Through School:

Music has a unique way of making learning fun and memorable. Our Grade 1 students learned a catchy song, "What is There in School." What makes this song special is its versatility - students can include different items from the school environment, making it a dynamic and interactive learning experience. It's a fantastic way for our young learners to reinforce their knowledge of school subjects, places in the school, and school supplies.

創建迷你教室:

Creating Mini-Classrooms in Shoeboxes:

One of the most exciting and hands-on activities was when our students put on their creative hats and transformed shoeboxes into miniature classrooms. They meticulously designed these shoebox classrooms, showcasing their understanding of different school environments and the importance of organization within a classroom. They then proudly presented their shoebox classrooms to the class, allowing their peers to explore their creative masterpieces.
